Born in Albuquerque, NM, and raised in the small bedroom community of Parma Heights, on the southwest side of Cleveland, Ohio. Thelma’s family roots hail directly from Pennsylvania and England. Thelma likes to travel and has taken several road trips across the US, as well as, sightseeing abroad.
Thelma is a Graduate of Cuyahoga Community College and Cleveland State University. With an associate degree in Law Enforcement and a Bachelor’s degree in Urban Studies. Sacred Landmarks class was one of her favorites as she planned to work for a non-profit community development organization. Thelma moved to Mississippi in 2004 and found her home on the Brandon / Rankin County side of the “Rez” in 2005. She has happily lived in our reservoir community for the past thirteen years. Thelma is a member of the Botanical Park Garden Club, as well as, several other organizations that engage with the public in educational activities. Thelma has a love of nature, animals, education and public service. A lover of nature and animals, Thelma volunteered for several years as a docent at the Cleveland Metroparks Zoo, in Cleveland, Ohio.
Her work/career background includes, insurance analyst, sales and field support specialist, administrative support, compliance and financial recordkeeping, as well as, customer service specialist.
Thelma is very happy in her new position as Administrative Assistant for St. Mark’s UMC and looks forward to getting to know all of you!
