Stephen was born and raised in Carol Stream, Illinois, the smallest town west of Chicago that you’ve never heard of. Faith and music were continually imprinted on him from an early age through the church and through family. He learned many instruments as a kid, often learning a new one just to keep playing in school concerts and church services. When the time came for a new path in life, God brought him 700 miles south to Belhaven University in Mississippi. He graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Music and started leading the 11th Hour Contemporary Worship Service at St. Mark’s. Through his ministry, he hopes to glorify God through the unifying, sincere, awesome, unabated, gospel-centered, Holy Spirit-filled worship of His people.
Stephen likes to spend his free time playing music with his college buddies, keeping up with everything Chicago sports, and being thoroughly annoyed by his loveable and energetic German Shepherd mix, Layla.
