What Are You Waiting For?- St. Mark’s United Methodist Church

Notes:

What are you waiting for this during this advent season? You most likely have certain expectations. Rev. Coile points out that the church Peter had established was in a crisis over the expectation of the second coming of Christ. When would it be? How would it be? Many had opinions on the time and many were just simply waiting. So, Rev. Coile poses the question "what are you waiting for?" The scripture for this sermon is found in 2Peter 3:8-15a. Rev. Sandra Thomas opens this communion service and leads the choir ensemble and congregation in the hymn of praise: "O Come, O Come, Emmanuel," special handbell music "Let All Mortal Flesh," and the anthem, "Prepare the Way of the Lord" with the choir ensemble and Bonnie Brown on Violin. Bonnie plays the violin during the service prelude music. Darlene Baker is the pianist and Jason Boyd plays the organ.
