Time’s a-Wasting, 8:20 Service, St Mark’s United Methodist Church

Notes:

The Steve Miller Band recorded a song with the lyrics of "Time keeps on slipping into the future." Time is a precious commodity and it always seems that we never have enough, it keeps slipping into the future, Rev. Coile cites Matthew 25:1-13 to show how the disciples in this conversation with Jesus were interested in time. Particularly on the subject of when will the end of times come. Rev. Coile points out that Jesus didn't know. Only the Father in heaven knows, will you be prepared or will time have slipped away? Rev. Sandra Thomas opens the service and leads the congregation in songs of worship: "I Love Thy Kingdom Lord," "Alas! and Did My Savior Bleed," and closing hymn, "Love the Lord Your God." Special music, "Adore te devote," is provided by the handbell ensemble and Staci Curry and Pete Williams perform a duet of "We Will Dance."  Darlene Baker plays the Grand Piano and Jason Boyd is the organist.

@E11th_Hour "Devote yourself to Jesus, His Word, and prayer at Saint Mark's (Acts 6:4)."
