Just You, Lord, Reformation Sunday- St Mark’s United Methodist Church

Notes:

Rev. Warren Coie opens this sermon with the question, "How aware are we of God's help?" In Deuteronomy 4:32-40, he reads of Moses' reminder to the Israelites of how God's power led them out of Egypt. What evidence of God's power have you witnessed in your life? Rev. Coile reminds us that the New Testament introduces an overwhelming example of God's power in quite a different way with the birth of a meek baby Jesus. Have you witnessed subtle signs or dramatic signs of God's help? Rev. Sandra Thomas leads the congregation in hymns that support the sermon: "O God, Our Help in Ages Past", "Love Devine, All Love Excelling", and the closing hymn "Where Charity and Love Prevail." Special Music is provided by handbells "Le Ping" and Trey Curry sings "The Gift of Love" accompanied by Ann Pittman on flute

@E11th_Hour "Devote yourself to Jesus, His Word, and prayer at Saint Mark's (Acts 6:4)."
